About THOMAS

who i am

I’m a young professional living and working in D.C.—a federal consultant by day and a bartender on weekends. Since I was 16, I’ve been part of the service industry, from preparing burritos in my hometown to serving tables, pouring drinks, and working late nights and early mornings. Along the way, I’ve formed lifelong relationships, heard life-changing stories, made mistakes, and learned the value of listening to lead.

what i've learned

The service industry is about more than just taking orders and refills. It’s about patience, showing respect, and being present for people. And it has influenced how I view public service.

why i'm running

I believe change starts with leaders who experience the struggles their communities face. When I look at D.C. politics, I don’t see many leaders who are renters working multiple jobs, wondering if they’ll ever afford a home, start a family, or stay in the city they love.

That disconnect is why I’m running.

I hear it every weekend behind the bar: stories of people struggling to pay rent despite working full-time. Neighbors afraid of being priced out of the homes they’ve lived in for generations. Families wondering if D.C. still has a future for them.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

what i hear from ward 1

this isn't about me

This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about Ward 1 residents who feel like their government is on autopilot. It’s about parents worried about their kids’ schools, workers living paycheck to paycheck, and neighbors who still believe another D.C. is possible.

I’m not here for the spotlight. I’m here because I love this city, and because I believe fresh perspectives, bold ideas, and new leadership can build the D.C. we all deserve.

If you believe that, too, join us.
