My name is Thomas Cortez. I’m a bartender, consultant, young Washingtonian, and a pragmatic progressive.

The cost of living has gotten out of control. Generational residents are being unfairly pushed out, local businesses are struggling, and our district is under attack. New leadership is desperately needed so our city can work better for all of us.

I have a vision for the future of our Ward and city, a vision that:

• Centers residents over developers
• Lowers costs and increases access to essential services
• Gets our kids back in school
• Promises families a future they can actually count on

Our campaign has a vision that looks toward the future and what our district can be.
